Introducing SUJÁN
How one family’s lifelong love for India’s wilderness became three of Rajasthan’s most remarkable camps.
We are delighted to welcome SUJÁN to the Falconer & Co Collection, a family-owned brand whose story began not in hospitality, but in the wilds of Rajasthan.
In 1974, Malvika and Tejbir Singh pitched a tent in Ranthambhore with a Bolex camera and started filming tigers, work that still survives today in Jungles of Rajasthan. Their son Jaisal grew up in and around that camp. In 2000, aged 21, with no hospitality experience and no real plan beyond staying close to the wilderness that raised him, he built SUJÁN Sher Bagh. He has called himself "the accidental hotelier" ever since.
Twenty-five years later, Jaisal and his wife Anjali have created three camps, each offering a completely different window into Rajasthan.
SUJÁN Sher Bagh is where the story began, sitting on the edge of Ranthambhore National Park, with a true 1920s safari feel. Days are spent in search of Bengal tigers, and evenings in the camp surrounded by candlelight.

SUJÁN JAWAI is a real example of a place where humanity and wilderness meet in union. Leopards roam the vast granite boulders, living amongst and observing the Rabari people as they go about their daily life.
It's inspiring to witness SUJÁN’s rewilding and conservation work here, before returning to the warm glow of the camp in the evenings.

In the middle of the Great Thar Desert, just outside Jaisalmer,SUJÁN The Serai provides a holistic and calming sanctuary, in contrast to the pace of city life. With sundowners among the dunes, visits to Jaisalmer’s extraordinary living fort and evenings accompanied by Manganiyar musicians, its a place to enlighten the senses.
